Derek Fisher is out as the Los Angeles Sparks’ head mentor and standard manager. 

On Tuesday, the Sparks declared that they have parted ways with Fisher soon after a 5-7 begin in his fourth year as head coach.

“The Sparks and I have mutually agreed to portion methods as I shift my aim back to pursuing other chances and private endeavors,” Fisher stated in a press release. 

Sparks’ Assistant Coach Fred Williams will serve as interim head coach for the remainder of the 2022 WNBA season.

“On behalf of our ownership group, I want to thank Derek for his endeavours and contributions to the Sparks franchise,” Taking care of Partner Eric Holoman explained. “We would like him the most effective shifting forward. I have entire self-assurance in Fred Williams to move into the position of interim head coach, bringing a prosperity of knowledge primary WNBA teams.”
